Dr. Mackowsky provided a one day course at Wake Med’s Andrews Conference Center to educate physical/occupational/speech therapists and social workers about the field of Neuro-Optometry and how vision skills can be improved through various treatment strategies. Participants gained a better understanding of how the neuro-developmental optometrist uses the bimodal model of vision to treat patients with visual dysfunctions. Evidence-based hands-on techniques and live demonstrations were provided.
